- Twitter can now prompt attachments via hashtag: Are you a frequent #hashtagger? Start keeping an eye out on your hashtags, as Twitter is now able to prompt users to attach media to their tweet based on the hashtag being used! (See example above)
Snapchat
- Report: Snapchat to Get Ads, News: This coming fall, Snapchat is planning to offer ads, news articles, and TV and movie clips. The service, to be called Snapchat Discovery, is Snapchat’s first appeal to marketers since the introduction of Snapchat Stories last year.
- Instagram Rolls Out Deeper Analytics for Advertisers: On Thursday, Instagram launched a new, more comprehensive set of analytics for advertisers. Metrics such as impressions, reach, and engagement will be provided to marketers in (almost) real time. The new set of analytics will also show information on demographics and allow marketers to see how an ad will look on a mobile phone prior to publishing.
Vine
- Hands On With the New Vine: 6-Second Videos Will Never Be the Same: Good news for Vine fans! You’re no longer restricted to Vine’s 4:3 aspect ratio camera. Users can now import video from any source (assuming it can get to your iOS camera roll)!
