Coming on the heels of the “Dewey Update” in March – Google has made some more Search Engine Result Pages (SERPs) updates in April.
The changes are causing some interesting results including new content being pushed way back in the results and older content making it’s way up to the top. In other cases the same domain is occupying two spots in the top 10 positions.
The bottom line is that some people are seeing some dramatic changes in their Google rankings – either rocketting them to the top, or all the way to the bottom!
If you’ve experienced some drop in rankings don’t worry too much about it. We usually see these things work themselves out over time and of course with some consistent optimization efforts.
Note: if you’re wondering why it’s called “Dewey” it’s because that’s the name Matt Cutts gave it as way to make it unique.
